The Ministry for the Environment requires councils to report on Bathing Water Quality.
To assist with this process, NIWA have developed a Hazen percentile calculator in the form of a spreadsheet, which is available at the MfE website. To import data into the spreadsheet, it is necessary to massage it into csv format. Once this is imported, a macro is run and the results are copied into a table.
Another available tool is the Bathewatch software, which is commonly used for analysing recreational water quality data.
