Bioweb Bird Banding

BioWeb is a database system administered by the Department of Conservation that holds data about New Zealand’s natural and historic heritage that is of importance to the Department of Conservation. The national banding scheme keeps records of all birds banded in New Zealand and all recoveries, from the early 1950s to the present.

A presentation by Delia Smith about the Bird Banding Project is available to view as part of the 2010 National Workshop resources. A presentation by Shirley Vollweiler about Bioweb is also available.
