Jim McLeod of EW and OneLand recently prepared a presentation placing
One-Land in the context of trends and issues in the NZ Geospatial
sector. He has offered to give this presentation in a virtual conference
for Dataversity members.
The presentation will describe the One-Land concept in the context of
the NZ Geospatial sector, including the NZ Geospatial Strategy,
geospatial projects, communities of interest and funding sources. It
will describe recent trends, the current state of the sector, and the
challenges faced by the sector, particularly around collaboration. It
will then explore the implications for the One-Land concept.
The seminar will be held via audioconference from 1400-1500 NZDT
on Friday 28 November. Presentation slides will be available from
this topic on the previous day. The (toll-free in NZ) teleconference
number will be 0800 449 288, with the guest access code 22691628#.
The audio-conference will begin with a brief introduction from
participants. Jim's presentation will be about 20 minutes, to allow time
for discussion.
The audioconference is open to all members of Dataversity, and to other
participants in the NZ Geospatial sector. If you want to participate in
the audioconference, and are not already a member of the Dataversity
Public Group, you are encouraged to join.
A recording of the audioconference will be posted to this group, for
those who are unable to participate at the time.
